Jo Lushbough

Josephine "Jo" Annette Lushbough, 58, of Iola, Kansas, died Sunday, December 18, 2011, at Iola Nursing Center of cancer. She was born November 15, 1953, at Toronto, Kansas, the daughter of Boyd Wilmer and Dorothy Lorraine (Beck) Hobbs. She graduated from Eureka High School in 1971. She married Terry Lushbough in 1976 and they made their home in Wichita and later divorced. She returned to Iola to live. She worked at Haldex Brake for a number of years and then for Guest Home Estates before her health failed. Josephine enjoyed her cats and was a member of the Women's International Bowling Association. SURVIVORS: 1 Son: Jonathan Lushbough of Iola, KS 1 Daughter: Rochelle "Shelley" Schmitz and husband, Ryan of Carl Junction, MO Her Mother-In-Law: Juanita McHaley of Iola, KS 1 Sister: Patrica Litherland of Topeka, KS 6 Grandchildren: Brennon Hilton, Sally Lushbough, Travis Hughes, Patrick Lenigan, Matthew Schmitz and Addison Schmitz 5 Nephews Special Friend & Caregiver: Wanda Brooks of Iola, KS Cremation has taken place. MEMORIAL SERVICE: 4:00 p.m., Thursday, December 22, 2011, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola.
