Johanna Elizabeth "Aunt Pete" Robinson

Johanna Elizabeth "Aunt Pete" Robinson, age 95, of Garnett, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at the Anderson County Hospital, Garnett, Kansas. She was born November 9, 1916, the daughter of John H. and Katie A. (Strunk) Landwehr. She married Willie H. Robinson on November 11, 1941 at Burlington, Kansas. Johanna worked as a housekeeper for many years at the Anderson County Hospital Long Term Care. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. Johanna loved to go on long walks and spending time tending to her garden. Johanna was preceded in death by her parents, John and Katie Landwehr; her husband, Willie Robinson in 1971; four brothers, Henry Landwehr, Antone Landwehr, Aloysius Landwehr, and Nicholas Landwehr; four sisters, Sister Anna Landwehr, Anna Donohue, Francis Thimesch, and Margaret Kratzberg. She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM, Monday, November 21, 2011 at Holy Angels Catholic Church, Garnett. Interment will follow in the Holy Angels Cemetery. Mrs. Robinson will lie in state after Noon on Sunday with the family present to greet friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Sunday evening at the funeral home in Garnett. Memorial contributions may be given to the Holy Angels Church building fund.
