John Carl Johnson, age 72, of Iola, Kansas, passed away November 23, 2021, at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri. John was born March 8, 1949, in Onawa, Iowa, to Willard Johnson, Sr. and Esther (Jones) Johnson.
John served his country in the United States Army. John worked as a home builder designer. He and Lynnette Wulf were married February 17, 1996, in Smithland, Iowa.
John enjoyed doing housework, cooking, and laundry for his wife. John liked using a typewriter to write letters to his sisters.
John was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Willard Johnson, Jr.
John is survived by his wife, Lynnette, of the home; daughter, Stephanie Madden, Marshall, Minnesota; step-children, Tim Kropf (Jenny), Dennison, Iowa, Ginger Meyers, Des Moines, Iowa, Stephanie Coleman (Donny), Onawa, Iowa, Steven Simpson, Onawa, Iowa; sisters, Gloria Clark (Beze), Onawa, Iowa, Colleen Warner, Arlington, Texas; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Cremation will take place and no services are planned.
