John M. Keim, age 38, of Garnett, Kansas, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2013, at St. Joseph Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born November 5, 1974 in Wooster, Ohio, the son of Marvin and Iva (Troyer) Keim. John grew up in Apple Creek, Ohio. John lived and explored an adventurous life. At the time of his passing John was a full time truck driver and the proud owner of a new truck. He was a resident of Kansas, but had formerly lived in numerous states including Ohio, Florida, Arizona, Nevada and Montana. John had many interests and talents. He loved music, playing his guitars, writing songs, spending time in the great outdoors, reading good books, and having meaningful discussions about life and God with those close to him. He found humor in most everything and was a great listener. He was preceded in death by his mother, Iva Keim. John is survived by his father, Marvin Lee Keim of Danville, Ohio; brothers and sisters, Marie Yoder and husband Allen of Ottawa, Kansas; Miriam Stoltzfoos and husband Vernon of Garnett, Kansas; Raymond Keim and wife Maureen of Raytown, Missouri; Barbara Yoder and husband Steve of Garnett, Kansas; Anna Keim of Corvallis, Montana; and Robert Keim and wife Keri of Stevensville, Montana; twelve nieces and nephews; many relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at the Garnett Church of the Nazarene at 258 Park Rd in Garnett, Kansas, burial to follow in the Garnett Cemetery. The family will be present to greet friends at the church from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Memorial Contributions may be made to John Keim Memorial.
