John Wayne Lodwig

John Wayne Lodwig, age 71, passed away in Las Vegas, Nevada on Monday January 10, 2011. John was born on January 3, 1940 to Wayne A. and Erma M. Lodwig in Seneca, Kansas. On June 6, 1959, John married his sweetheart Linda Lee Lodwig, and they celebrated over 50 years of marriage together. John served both in the Kansas National Guard and the U.S. Army. Later he worked for Capital Federal Savings in Topeka at the downtown branch. John, with his loving wife Linda worked side by side in property management for over 23 years. A friend of Bill W's, John celebrated over 38 years of sobriety and encouraged many others along their way to recovery even on the internet in self help groups. John is survived by his 2 sons, John, Jr. and James; daughter Jody; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Wayne Lodwig, his wife Linda Lee Lodwig and his mother Erma Lodwig.
