John Scott Reiter, age 63, of LaHarpe, Kansas, passed away November 29, 2022, at his residence. John was born January 28, 1959, in Garnett, Kansas, to John Robert Reiter and Imogene (Patrick) Reiter.
John graduated in 1977 from Iola High School and he went on to earn an associate's degree. John spent most of his life as a trucker.
John was an avid hunter, gunsmith, and talker. He loved his grandchildren and his dogs. John was a collector of everything, especially if he thought it had a purpose.
John was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Reiter; sister, Patricia Bain; and brothers-in-law, Bob Mang, David Kortals.
John is survived by daughters, Cassandra (Charles) Brown, Iola, Kansas, Lillian Kuron, Garnett, Kansas; grandchildren, Maria and Charles Brown, Iola, Kansas; sisters, Roberta Mang, Frances Reiter, Donna Kortals, Pearl Lampe; and numerous other family members and friends.
Cremation will take place and no services are planned at this time.
Memorials are suggested to John Scott Reiter Memorial Fund to help with funeral expenses. Memorials may be made payable to Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas.
