John Reiter

John Robert Reiter, 93, of Colony, Kansas, died Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at Residential Living Center in Garnett, Kansas. John was born July 1, 1922, in Geneva, Kansas, the son of Scott and Pearl ( Crocker ) Reiter. On July 25, 1944, he married Imogene Patrick and they made their home on farms in Allen and Anderson counties before moving to Colony 35 years ago. He was sexton for the Colony Cemetery for 30 years before retiring. His wife preceded him in death on May 26, 2002. SURVIVORS: 2 sons: Robert Reiter of Topeka and John Scott Reiter of LaHarpe 4 daughters: Roberta Mang of Schuyler, Nebraska, Frances Reiter of Welda, Pearl Lampe of Piqua, and Donna Korthals of Baxter Springs 1 sister: Ethel Beckmon of Iola Several grandchildren and great grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Pat Bain, 2 brothers, Frank Reiter and Forrest Reiter, and 5 sisters, Frances Decker, Gladys Sherwood, Opal Powers, Bessie Dorsey, and Mary Jones.
