Joseph "Butch" Cline Jr., age 74, passed away on October 15, 2023 at St. Luke's Hospital on the Plaza, in Kansas City, Missouri, surrounded by his family.
He was born on January 16, 1949 in Iola, Kansas to Joseph Cline Sr. and Thelma "Jean" Stockebrand Cline, the second of four children.
Butch attended school and graduated from Wichita East with the class of 1967. During his school days and after graduation he spent considerable time at the family farm. Shortly after graduation he met the love of his life Judy Sampson, who became his wife on June 7th, 1970. This union was blessed with two children Gina and Craig.
He was a dedicated family man that loved fiercely. Butch was the epitome of a hard worker and is the legacy that he passed on to his family. He loved to be outdoors including fishing, hunting, and working in the garden. He was a devout husband, dad and "Gramps".
He is preceded is death by his loving wife, Judy Cline; his parents and sister, Marla Cline.
Butch is survived by his children Gina and husband Robert, Craig and wife Andrea; grandchildren, Colten and fiancé Shelby and Brooklyn Storrer, Caden, Ethan, Delaney, Logan Cline; great-granddaughter Gracelynn; siblings, Virginia Finney and Michael Cline; nephew, Brent Richardson.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at the Yates Center Methodist Church. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, October 20, 2023, at the Yates Center Methodist Church in Yates Center, Kansas.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Yates Center Methodist Church and can be left in the care of Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US HWY 54, Iola, Kansas 66749.
