Joseph Eric White

Joe White, age 33, of Roeland Park, Kansas, formerly of Garnett, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2010. Joe was born on March 21, 1977, at Topeka, Kansas, the son of Eric White and Betty Gilpin. He grew up in Garnett, and graduated from Anderson County High School in 1995. Joe was a member of Anderson County Wrestling for 4 years. After graduating high school, he attended Kansas State University for two years. Joe was a member of the Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity while at K-State. He worked as a laborer in the steel industry. Joe enjoyed riding dirt bikes, fishing, and camping. He is survived by his mother, Betty Gilpin, of Garnett; and his uncle, Linnie Gilpin and wife Delores of Delta Junction, Alaska; as well as many friends. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2010, at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Garnett, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Joe White Memorial Fund.
