Josh Larney

Joshua "Josh" Daniel Larney, age 52, passed away at Allen County Regional Hospital in Iola, Kansas on June 23, 2024.

Josh was born on July 8, 1971 to John Larney and Betty Jo Fosdick. He was raised in Iola, and graduated from Iola High School with the class of 1989. Afterwards, he attended Allen Community College, and later earned a Bachelor's degree in psychology from Fort Hays State University. Josh helped many people in his career as a licensed addictions counselor.

While Josh was raised in Iola, some of his fondest memories were made in Seminole, Oklahoma. He had a deep appreciation for his Native American heritage. He loved to fish, watch football, and was often found to be cooking. Josh contributed a lot of his time coaching youth soccer programs in his community. Above all else, Josh treasured time spent with his family and friends.

Josh was preceded in death by both his parents; grandparents, John and June Fosdick; Aunt Scottie; uncle, Lyle Fosdick; and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins that have passed on.

Josh is survived by children, Zeph Larney, Micaiah and Diego Vazquez, Keaton Larney, and Konner Larney; and brother, Jason Larney.

A visitation is planned for Thursday, June 27, 2024, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at The Venue in Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas. Memorials may be made out to Feuerborn Family Funeral Service for the Josh Larney Memorial Fund, and left in the care of the funeral home.
