Joyce Elaine Hudson, age 80, of Humboldt, Kansas, passed away October 9, 2022, at Medicalodges of Iola, Iola, Kansas. Joyce was born August 15, 1942, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Howard Elton Goodall and Bettye Elnora (Cole) Goodall.
Joyce and Richard Norman Hudson were married September 30, 1960, in Kansas City, Missouri. Joyce worked in the upholstery department at Nu-Way Industries in Chanute, Kansas, until an injury caused her to retire.
Joyce was an avid collector of glass "hens on a nest" for many years, collecting over 350. She enjoyed crocheting scrubbers for family and friends. She was devoted to her church and church family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and son, Rick Hudson.
Joyce is survived by son, Ron (Laura) Hudson, Topeka, Kansas; daughter-in-law, April Hudson, Humboldt, Kansas; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 14, 2022, at the First Baptist Church, Humboldt, Kansas, followed by a memorial service at 10:30 a.m. Inurnment will be immediately after the memorial service in Mount Hope Cemetery, Humboldt, Kansas.
Memorials are suggested to the Humboldt First Baptist Church or to the Allen County Animal Rescue Facility (ACARF), which may be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas.
