Judith A Powell

Judith Ann Powell, age 75, formerly of Iola, Kansas passed away, March 9, 2017 at the Tippah County Hospital, Ripley, Mississippi. Judy was the second of four children born to R.S. "Bill" and Georgia Filene (Brooks) Brixey. She was born on April 28, 1941 at Iola. She grew up in Iola, attending schools there. Judy worked as L.P.N. for most of her career. She was married to John Powell for several years, they later divorced. Judy enjoyed life, she moved to Mississippi to be near her son when her health began to fail. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant twin brother, Jerry Lee; and her son Gregory Powell in 2013. Judy is survived by two sons, Richard Powell of Tulsa, Oklahoma and John Powell and wife, Heather of Red Banks, Mississippi; sister, Betty Parker of Gas, Kansas; brother, Donald "Bill" Brixey and wife Leanna of Iola, Kansas.
