Judy Zirjacks

Judy Jo Ann Zirjacks, 71, of Iola, Kansas, died Sunday, February 16, 2014, at the Allen County Regional Hospital in Iola. Judy was born December 15, 1942 in Ft. Worth, Texas. She was the daughter of Howard J. and Dorothy B. (Schwinck) Robinson. Judy was raised in Iola and graduated from Iola High School in 1960. On December 25, 1960, Judy married Paul L. Zirjacks in Iola. They traveled the world following his military career with the U.S. Army for 30 years. Judy worked at banks in Germany and Massachusetts. Following Paul's retirement from the service they moved to Iola in October 1987. Judy has worked as a surgical clerk at Allen County Hospital since April 18, 1988. She enjoyed traveling and meeting people. Her memberships include Calvary United Methodist Church where she served as choir director and P.E.O. Chapter L. SURVIVORS: Her husband of 53 years: Paul Zirjacks of the home 1 Son: Patrick Zirjacks of Melissa, Texas 1 Daughter-In-Law: Jaye Zirjacks of Iola, Kansas 2 Grandchildren: Michael Marshall and Charity Seufert 4 Great Grandchildren: Alexys, Andrya, Allison and Wyatt She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Paul Howard Zirjacks. VISITATION: 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. FUNERAL SERVICE: 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, at Calvary United Methodist Church in Iola.
