Julia Shores

Julia (Stout) Shores, 83, of Iola, Kansas, died Friday, December 12, 2014, at Windsor Place in Iola. Julia was born June 15, 1931, at rural Erie, Kansas, the daughter of John and Martha (Smith) Elliott. She married Orville Stout Feb. 16, 1960 and he preceded her in death Dec. 31, 1994. Julia and Keith Shores were married April 2, 2014. Julia retired from Haldex in Iola. She was a member of Community Baptist Church in Iola. She enjoyed fishing and gardening. SURVIVORS: Husband: Keith Shores of the home 3 Sons: Robert Stout of Iola, Lowell Daniels and Steve Daniels both of Wichita Step-son: John Shores of Iola Step-daughter: Debbie Logan of Iola Brother: Ivan Elliott of Gas Sister: Betty Clements of Erie Special Caregiver: Nephew, Jerold Elliott, Jr. 6 Grandchildren: Rodney Stout, Robby Stout, Eric Ott, Stacy Ott, Curtis Daniels and Hayley Westerman 3 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Linda Ott and Janie Daniels, daughter-in-law Vicky Stout, son-in-law Floyd Ott, step-sons Ronald & David Stout, step-daughter Jeanette Stout and brothers Marvin Elliott and Jerold Elliott, Sr. FUNERAL SERVICE: 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014, at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola.
