Karla S. Wallace

Karla S. Wallace, age 53, of Colony, Kansas, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2016, at her daughter's home in Paola. She was born December 29, 1962, at Garnett, Kansas, the daughter of Hershyl H. and Norma Jean (Ashlock) Ballard. Karla attended Crest High School and graduated with a GED from Allen County Community College in Iola. Karla married Gene Wallace on February 12, 1989 at Garnett, Kansas. She liked her crafts, free hand painting, drawing and reading. She enjoyed fishing, spending time at the lake house with her husband and son. Her dog, Nala, was her best friend and companion. Karla enjoyed the outdoors planting flowers and grilling with family. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Karla was preceded in death by her parents, Hershyl and Norma Ballard; two brothers, Charles "Skipper" Boyd and Terry Ballard. She is survived by husband, Gene Wallace, of the home; daughter, Natasha Weaver of Paola, Kansas; son, Ashton Wallace of Colony, Kansas; three grandchildren, Sebasteian, Patrick, and Hershyl Weaver; two brothers Tom Ballard and wife Marilyn, of Madison, Kansas; Roy Ballard and wife Lisa of Madison, Kansas; one sister, Lucinda Witt and husband Kevin of Iola, Kansas.
