Kip Coleman "Kippy" Betts

Kip C. Betts, 58, of Savonburg, Kansas, went home to his heavenly Father on Friday, February 9th, 2018.  He was born January 24, 1960, in Piqua, Ohio, to William and Marcia (Walker) Betts. He leaves behind numerous siblings and extended family in Ohio and enjoyed visiting with them on social media. He dearly loved his sister Miriam Raymond and they kept in touch often. Kip loved his job working at Russell Stover Candies in Iola, Kansas and was employed there for almost 17 years. When he wasn't working he mowed or was lending a hand when someone needed him. Kip has two sons from his first union, KC Betts, Jr. and Adam Betts and grandson Eli. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Robin Betts and four step children whom he loved as his own. Shawn Pierce of Dayton, Ohio; Shanda Worthington of Dayton Ohio; Paris and Melissa Dial of Prairie Village, Kansas and Courtney and Dustin Hicks of Elsmore, Kansas. He had eight grandchildren who loved their Papaw Kippy; Payton, McKenna, Audrianna, Isabella, Paris Jr., Paisley, Harper and Tobias. Kip has been the anchor of our lives. His ability to love unconditionally has always been and will continue to be our inspiration. A memorial visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. Saturday, February 17, 2018 at The Venue at Iola, 1883 US Hwy 54, Iola. Contributions in his memory are suggested to Allen County Animal Rescue Facility or the Special Olympics.
