Kris Tina DeVoe

Kris Tina DeVoe, age 28, of Kincaid, Kansas, passed away on Friday, June 4, 2010 at New Strawn, Kansas, the result of a vehicle accident that also claimed the lives of her daughter, Payton DeVoe, age 4 and her niece, Lexie Tolbert, age 8. She was born on July 23, 1981 in Garnett, Kansas, the daughter of Calvin and Patricia (Kelley) DeVoe. She grew up in the area, attending Anderson County High School. Kris was a homemaker. She loved animals, especially elephants, but most of all she loved her family. She is survived by four sons, Kurt Thomas, Pattrick DeVoe, Martin Calvey and Skyler Kilpatrick; two daughters, Lexis Calvey and Megan Kilpatrick; her parents, Calvin and Patricia DeVoe of Kincaid, Kansas; one brother, Matthew DeVoe of Kincaid, Kansas; three sisters, Kayla DeVoe of Kincaid, Kansas; Rachel Skaggs and husband Daniel of Kincaid, Kansas; Jessica DeVoe and fianc Steven Anderson of Kincaid, Kansas; grandmothers Gloria Lanphere of New York and Shirley DeVoe of Garnett, Kansas; two nephews, Seth Skaggs and Nicholas Skaggs, and one niece, Alyssa Skaggs. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 10, 2010, at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Garnett, Kansas. Inurnment will follow at the Kincaid Cemetery. Family will be present to greet friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Garnett. Memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Education Fund.
