LaDelle M. Cunningham

LaDelle Mavis Carlson Cunningham died June 15, 2016. LaDelle was born October 28, 1923, the daughter of Eric and Julia (Swanson) Carlson at Elsmore, Kansas. She attended Country School near Elsmore before graduating from the Elsmore High School in 1941. LaDelle graduated from the Coffeyville Beauty Academy in 1942. LaDelle then worked as a cosmetologist in Chanute, Erie and Stark. She was a life-long member of Friends Home Lutheran Church of Savonburg, where she was a Sunday School teacher and superintendent for 30 years. She was also a member of Dorcas & WELCA organizations of the church and the Town & Country Friends Club. LaDelle was married to Fred Cunningham Jr. at Friends Home Lutheran Church on November 26, 1944. He preceded her in death on August 24, 1994. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Leonard Carlson and two sisters, LaVance Johnson and LaVonne Atteberry. She is survived by two sons and one daughter, Merrill & Wendy Cunningham, Chanute, Kansas, Randall & Kathy Cunningham, Jonesborough, Tennessee, Rosann & Tim Wood, Lenexa, Kansas; sister-in-law, Virginia Cunningham of Emporia, Kansas; 8 grandchildren, Scott & Staci Cunningham, Steven & Kelley Cunningham, Stuart & Becca Cunningham, Chanute, Kansas, Leslie & Preston Fulton, Litchfield Park, Arizona, Lisa & Barron Snider, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Joshua Cunningham, Hilton Head, South Carolina, Colleen & Jason Greene, and Coushatta Cunningham, Annapolis, Maryland; and 11 great-grandchildren, Susanne and Sadie Cunningham, Madison, Emily and Weslee Cunningham, Kylee Burgess, Shea and Llian Cunningham, Hudson and Luke Fulton and Ellie Snider. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 20, 2016, at the Friends Home Lutheran Church, Savonburg, Kansas with burial to follow in the Elsmore Cemetery. She will lay in state from Noon to 5:00 PM, Sunday at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel, 344 N. Cedar, Moran, Kansas.
