Laurie Ann Leake, 52, of Iola, Kansas, died Sunday, October 12, 2014, at her home. Laurie was born March 11, 1962 in Rome, New York, the daughter of Leon John and Deanna Irene (Dhur) Witchley, Sr. She moved to Kansas from New York when she was in her early teens. On February 21, 1980, Laurie married Jack F. Leake and they made their home in Iola. She worked at Tramec-Sloan in Iola. SURVIVORS Her husband of 34 years: Jack F. Leake of the home 1 Son: Joseph Leake & wife, Amber of Parsons, KS 1 Daughter: Elizabeth Leake & spouse, James Kelley of Iola, KS 3 Grandchildren: Alexys & Tyler Leake and Hayden Kelley 9 Siblings :Ted Witchley of LaHarpe, KS, Yvonne Smith, Gay Witchley, Patricia Gunthrie & Roy Parks all of Virginia, Anita Elliott of Gas, KS, Wendy Witchley of Topeka, KS, Leon John Witchley, Jr. of Colony, KS and Bonnie Parks of Tennessee She was preceded in death by a son, David Scott Leake, her parents and two sisters, Donna and Christy Witchley. FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:00 a.m. Friday, Oct. 17, 2014, at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola.
