Lawrence F. Tidd, 78, formerly of rural Moran, Kansas, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at Catholic Care Center in Bel Aire, Kansas. Lawrence was born September 2, 1933, in Neosho Falls, Kansas, the son of Frank and Elizabeth (Diebolt) Tidd. On January 31, 1955, Lawrence married Mary E. Boles at the First Methodist Church Parsonage in Iola by Rev. E.E. Tillotson. He farmed in the Neosho Falls area. He also trucked and operated his own ready-mix concrete business. In 1976, he and his wife purchased a farm southwest of Moran, Kansas. They farmed until 2010 when they retired and moved to Bel Aire to be near their daughter. Worth, Texas 2 Brothers: Richard Tidd & wife, Opal and Frankie Tidd both of the Neosho Falls area 2 Sisters: Meribeth Weise & husband, Larry of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Bertha Hackett & husband, Joe of Hoyt, KS Sister-In-Law: Lillie Tidd of rural Iola, KS Brother-In-Law: Floyd Chriestenson of Mineral Wells, TX Nephews, Nieces and Cousins He was preceded in death by his brother, Howard Tidd of rural Iola, sister Arlene Chriestenson of Mineral Wells, TX, his daughter, Joylynn Jeannie Lewis of Wichita, and niece, Shirley (Tidd) Snavely of rural Iola.
