Leah Card

Leah Rae Card, 74, of Chanute, Kansas, formerly of Humboldt, died Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at Via Christi Medical Center St. Francis Campus in Wichita. Leah was born December 11, 1935, in Iola, Kansas, the daughter of Ray A. and Elora G. (Lehman) Card. She grew up in Humboldt where she graduated from high school. On April 11, 1956, Leah married Stephen Ray Card at Humboldt. They made their home in and around the Ashton, Idaho area before returning to Humboldt about 16 years ago. Mr. Card preceded her in death on June 19, 1999. She had been a member of Zion Lutheran Church at Ashton and was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Humboldt. SURVIVORS: 1 Daughter: Stephanie Wykle of Rexburg, Idaho 2 Grandchildren: Forrest Wykle and Amy Nelson both of Rexburg, Idaho She was preceded in death by a son, William Ray Card. GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 3:00 p.m., Monday, April 26, 2010, at Mount Hope Cemetery in Humboldt, KS. The Rev. David Meier will officiate.
