Lenora Mae Fletcher, age 88, of Iola, Kansas, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2019, at Moran Manor, Moran, Kansas. Lenora was born October 28, 1930, to William T. and Edith M. (Heath) McClanahan in Humboldt, Kansas.
Lenora graduated from Iola High School in 1948. Lenora was married to Harley Curtis until his death in 1966. On December 18, 1972, she married James W.C. Fletcher. Lenora worked at South Western Bell Telephone Company in Iola for fifteen years. She then was a bookkeeper at the Iola Green House for twenty years. Over the years she also worked as a cosmetologist. Lenora was a lifelong resident of Iola after moving from Humboldt when she was a small child. She was also a long time member of the Iola Baptist Temple.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Harley Curtis; husband James Fletcher; and sister Arlene Stewart.
Lenora is survived by two nephews Mike Stewart and Mitch Stewart; one niece Leslie
Hendricks; and several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Lenora will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2019, in the Chapel at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Iola, Kansas.
