Leslie B. Yoder

Leslie Yoder, age 43, of Garnett, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2011, at his home. He was born at Garnett, on January 5, 1968, the son of Benedict and Elizabeth (Miller) Yoder. Leslie was married to Eileen L. Yoder, daughter of Lester T. and Edna Yoder, on May 2, 1997. This union was blessed with three sons and one daughter. He is survived by his family: wife, Eileen of the home and their children, William Edward, age 10; Jacob Eli, age 8; Stephen Leon, age 6, and Lena Fern, age 5. He is also survived by his parents, Benedict and Elizabeth Yoder; five brothers, Edward Yoder and wife Gertie of Arthur, Illinois; Marvin Yoder and wife Leah of Mattoon, Illinois; Andy Yoder and wife Lucy of Garnett; Nelson Yoder and wife Erma of Norwood, Missouri; Ben Yoder and wife Mary Susan of Welda, Kansas; one sister, Lydia May (Yoder) Kauffman and husband Willard of Arcola, Illinois; 17 nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church and was baptized at 21 years of age. His big smile and big friendly wave will be missed by all. Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, January 28, 2011, at the Benedict Yoder residence, 26132 NW Idaho Road, Garnett, Kansas 66032. Burial will follow in the Amish Cemetery.
