Lewis Burke

Lewis "Ben" Burke, 80, of Iola, Kansas, died Monday, June 15, 2015, at his home. Ben was born February 3, 1935, in Piqua, Kansas, the son of John L. and Loretta M. Burke. On May 11, 1955, he married Wilma J. Wille and they made their home near Piqua. He worked for Arbuckle Motors, Wichman Ford, and then Consolidated Oil in Chanute before retiring. His wife preceded him in death on October 21, 2005. SURVIVORS: Son: Danny Burke of Oklahoma City Two Daughters: Kathy Eichstaedt of Wichita and Laurie Sampson and husband Kenny of Iola One Brother: Don Burke of Olathe Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren FRIEND: Madalyn Varnell He was preceded in death by two sons, Steven and David VISITATION: 7:00 until 8:00 Thursday evening, June 18, 2015, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel in Iola GRAVESIDE SERVICES: 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 19th, 2015, at St. Martin's Catholic Cemetery in Piqua, Kansas.
