Lila M. Curry, age 84, of Kincaid, Kansas, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2017 at St. Luke's Hospital on the Plaza. She was born February 6, 1932 at Wichita, Kansas. Lila graduated from Friends University in Wichita, Kansas and earned her Bachelor's Degree in Home Economics in 1954. Lila married Bruce Curry on July 5, 1953 at Wichita, Kansas. This union was blessed with three daughters. They made their home in rural Kincaid since 1964. She was a member of the Kincaid-Selma United Methodist Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Golden Rod Chapter #163 in Yates Center. Lila was a homemaker and helped Bruce out on the farm. She was an avid reader of crime literature. She loved her cats and flowers, especially the larkspur because they brought in the hummingbirds. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband Bruce Curry on January 22, 2010. Lila is survived by her daughters, Martha Beckham and husband Michael of Winchester, Kansas; twins, Beverly and Barbara Curry of the home; two grandsons, Stacey and Shaun Fishback of Topeka, Kansas; four great grandchildren, Nadje' Fishback, Quinn Fishback, Ma'Kiya Hayes, and Shaun Fishback II. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, January 28, 2017, at the Kincaid-Selma United Methodist Church, in Kincaid, with burial to follow in the Kincaid Cemetery.
