Lillie Marie Davis, age 74, of Iola, Kansas, passed away November 20, 2022, at Medicalodges of Iola, Iola, Kansas. Lillie was born February 16, 1948, in Gas, Kansas, to William A. Watson and Tuddie Belle (Howard) Watson.
Lillie graduated from Iola High School and then attended college. She worked in the medical field as a nurse. Lillie married William Kenneth Ray Gasper and they later divorced. She married John Davis and he preceded her in death.
Lillie enjoyed cooking and was especially good at it. She liked to garden and fish. She loved her animals, especially her dogs and Jimmy the pot-bellied pig, who appeared with her on a local TV station. She liked to travel and would find vacation spots by spinning a Coke bottle on a map and where it landed would be their vacation destination. Lillie was accomplished at playing the piano and singing. She spent a lot of time in Oklahoma visiting her brother, and causing just a little trouble from her ornery streak.
Lillie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Lillie is survived by daughter, Tinaro (Willie) Loveberry, Iola, Kansas; grandson, Trea (Courtny) Mitchell, Iola, Kansas; brother, Eugene (Gladys) Martin, Tulsa, Oklahoma; other children, Dewayne Gasper, Terry Gasper, Renee Gasper; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service to honor Lillie's life will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 5, 2022, in the chapel at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas. Inurnment will be in Highland Cemetery, Iola, Kansas.
Memorials are suggested to the Allen County Animal Rescue Facility (ACARF), which may be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service.
