Linda Sue Graham, age 73, of Yates Center, Kansas, passed away September 13, 2021, at her residence. Linda was born May 9, 1948, in Emporia, Kansas, to Glen George Shook and Jacquelin Darlene (Johnson) Shook.
Linda graduated in 1966 from Madison High School, Madison, Kansas. Linda and Jimmie Graham were married November 18, 1966, in Virgil, Kansas.
Linda enjoyed gardening, puzzles, coloring, babies, and taking care of others. She liked to help other people. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, Linda was strong in her faith and she liked telling others about her faith. She was known to write letters to all who needed comfort, encouragement, or a kind word. Linda's mailbox was always full of cards and letters. Her letters made a difference in the lives of many. She loved her family and spending time with them.
Linda was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2001, which she was a 20-year survivor. While living with cancer, she had the strength and determination to be the rock to others. Linda provided end-of-life care to numerous people in the community, including her greatest love, her husband Jim. Her selfless love for everyone she met defined her as a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Graham; parents, Glen and Jacquelin (Johnson) Shook; son-in-law, Christopher Brown; and granddaughter, Caitlyn Graham.
Linda is survived by sons, Tracy (Lori) Graham, Iola, Kansas, Timothy Graham, Iola, Kansas, Travis (Nikki) Graham, Edwardsville, Kansas; daughters, Tamara (Scott) Martin, Yates Center, Kansas, Tonya (Eleazar) Bourbon, Yates Center, Kansas; daughter-in-law, Glenna Graham, Yates Center, Kansas; grandchildren, Caden Graham, Tabitha Graham; brother, Larry Shook, Olpe, Kansas; step-mother, Marilyn Shook, Burlington, Kansas; adopted daughter and grandson, Fawn and Cale Hobbs, Wichita, Kansas; and her four-legged friends, Jimma, Jade, and Jasper.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021, in The Venue at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas.
