Linda McCullough, age 72, of Iola, Kansas, passed away Friday, August 9, 2019, at the Allen County Regional Hospital, Iola, Kansas. Linda was born August 18, 1946, in Blue Mound, Kansas, to Richard McCullough and Dora (Hole) McCullough.
Linda graduated from Humboldt High School, Humboldt, Kansas. She worked in health care as a caregiver.
Linda did not know a stranger. She liked to collect nutcrackers, porcelain dolls, and crosses. Linda was a Tyler Perry and Golden Girls fan. Her life revolved around her grandchildren. She enjoyed country cruising with Sissy and the grandkids, telling family stories, and picnics. Linda took in and adopted any neighborhood kid, and was referred to as “grandma” by all the kids that knew her, especially LaDonna and Shawna known as “NeaNea.”
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; infant brother, Danny Ray McCullough; son-in-law, Jeff Klotzbach; and nephew, Darren McCullough.
Linda is survived by daughters, Angela Klotzbach, LaHarpe, Kansas, Marsha Kinzle, Iola, Kansas, Sharon Cress and husband, Kevin, LaHarpe, Kansas, Malissa Brooks, Iola, Kansas, Jessica Tanner and husband, David, Iola, Kansas; grandchildren, Cody McCullough, Iola, Kansas, Toben Kinzle, Iola, Kansas, Katlin Cress, LaHarpe, Kansas, Ryan Cress, LaHarpe, Kansas, Jonathan Cress, Burlington, Kansas, Charles Kuhn, Braidwood, Illinois, Brooklyn Kuhn, Pittsburg, Kansas, Andrew Kuhn, Chanute, Kansas, Elexis Williams, Iola, Kansas, Emily Williams, Iola, Kansas, Connor McCullough, LaHarpe, Kansas, Caleb McCullough, Iola, Kansas; sister, Betty Ames and husband, Charles, Arkansas; brothers, Marvin McCullough, Iola, Kansas, Garry McCullough and wife, Joyce, Iola, Kansas, Calvin and wife, Darla, Elsmore, Kansas; numerous nieces and nephews; son-in-law, Edward Kuhn; and special four-legged friend and constant companion, Sissy.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2019, in The Venue at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas. A funeral service honoring Linda’s life will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 16, 2019, in the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel, Iola, Kansas. Burial will follow in the Colony Cemetery, Colony, Kansas.
