Linda Trainor

Linda Mae Trainor, 52, of Iola, Kansas died Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at her home. Linda was born October 8, 1957, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania the daughter of Daniel and Yvonne (Cook) Kelly. She grew up in New Jersey. On July 20, 1974 Linda married Michael Trainor at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Croydon, Pennsylvania. They made their home in New Jersey and Florida before moving to Iola, Kansas in 1986. In 1991, Linda graduated from the Neosho County Community College School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse in area nursing homes until her health failed. She enjoyed bingo and her cat, Lucy Belle. SURVIVORS: Husband: Michael Trainor of the home 4 Children: Darla Ulrich & husband, Brian of Iola, KS, Wendy Tucci & husband, Christopher of Glassboro, NJ, Michael Trainor, Jr. & wife, Mandy Connolly of Iola, KS and Angela Trainor & husband, Roger Pruitt of Iola, KS Her Mother: Yvonne Kelly of Williamstown, NJ 2 Brothers: Daniel "Bean" Kelly of Mays Landing, NJ and Michael Kelly of Mays Landing, NJ 2 Sisters: Cheryl Ricco of Williamstown, NJ and Beth Dalton of Minotola, NJ 6 Grandchildren who called her "Gram" and "MaMom": Whitney & Zachary Ulrich, and Michael, Alex, Ashley, and Alisha Trainor A number of nieces, nephews and cousins She was preceded in death by her father, a sister Donna and a nephew Robert "Bobby" Roeder. VISITATION: 2:00-5:00 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 3, 2010, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. Cremation will follow the visitation.
