Lloyd Kinzle

Lloyd M. Kinzle, 91, formerly of Iola, Kansas, died Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at his home in Solomon, Kansas. Lloyd was born April 2, 1923, in Florence, Kansas, the son of Michael J. and Mary Ann (Johnston) Kinzle. He grew up in the Garnett area. On January 1, 1946, Lloyd married Bonnie Lou Hallam at Garnett and they made their home in Iola. He has worked for Pet Milk, Sleeper Furniture and Allen County Hospital over the years. Mrs. Kinzle preceded him in death July 9, 1995. He moved to Solomon three years ago. He was a member of Community Baptist Church in Iola. SURVIVORS: 8 Children: Diana Townsley & husband, Gene of Kincaid, Pamela Clark & husband, Mike of Solomon, Jerald Kinzle & wife, Karla of Trenton, MO, Steven Kinzle & wife, Frances of Iola, Bruce Kinzle & wife, Debbie of Coffeyville, Scott Kinzle & wife, Carolyn of Iola, Randy Kinzle of Topeka and Brad Kinzle of Ellsworth 1 Sister: Colleen Gumfory of Iola 22 Grandchildren and many great grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, twin brother Floyd, brothers Kenneth and Donald, sister Lorraine Hullet and 3 great grandchildren. VISITATION AND GRAVESIDE SERVICE: The family will greet friends at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2014, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola, prior to leaving for graveside services at 11:00 a.m. at the Iola Township Cemetery east of Piqua.
