Lois Flippin

Lois E. Flippin, 92, of Iola, Kansas, died Sunday, November 6, 2011, at the Allen County Hospital in Iola. He was born September 22, 1919, in Iola, Kansas, the son of Newton and Estella (Stewart) Flippin. Lois worked several years at Bud White Motors and then in the maintenance department at Allen County Community College before retiring. Lois married Edna Louise Wilkerson in 1939 and they made their home in Iola. She preceded him in death on April 2, 1979. He is survived by a nephew, Vince Flippin of Wichita, Kansas. Lois was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Edgar, Julius and Eugene Flippin, and by 3 sisters, Lena Elizabeth, Lillian Mae and Wilma Marie Flippin. VISITATION AND GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Family and friends will meet at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola, for visitation before leaving for Highland Cemetery in Iola for graveside services at 11:00 a.m. Rev.
