Lois Marie Macklin

Lois Marie Macklin, age 65, of Garnett, Kansas, passed away on Friday, November 13, 2020, at her home.

Lois was born on December 2, 1954, she was the second of two children born to Robert Max and Leona Pearl (Kissee) Welborn. Lois grew up in Olathe, where she graduated from Olathe High School. In 1972 Lois was united in marriage to Raymond Jay “R.J.” Colburn. They were blessed with one son, Brian. R.J. passed away unexpectedly on April 3, 1995. Lois later married Mike Roberts of Greeley, Kansas. They made their home near Greeley. Mike passed away on January 1, 2005. Lois later married Raleigh K. “Rusty” Macklin, they made their home near Garnett. Lois enjoyed being able to spend time outside, especially mowing the yard. She was an animal lover, but her dogs were her pride and joy. Lois also enjoyed fishing with her family. Her easy going nature led to many conversations in the aisles of local stores when she would run into her friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, previous husbands, a grandson, Ian Edward Colburn; and a step-son, Flint Macklin.

Lois is survived by her husband, Rusty Macklin, of the home; her son, Brian Colburn of Garnett; brother, Bob Welborn and wife Kathy of Belton, Missouri; step-daughters, Amy Macklin, Kim Wittman and Jill Foltz.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, November 18, 2020, at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Garnett, Kansas. Burial will follow in the Mont Ida Cemetery.
