Lois J. Sanders

Lois Jean Sanders, age 77, of Iola, Kansas, passed away December 13, 2022, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, Kansas. Lois was born on September 2, 1945, in Forest City, Iowa, to Maynard L. Eames and Emma A. (Jensen) Eames.

Lois graduated in 1963 from Forest City High School, Forest City, Iowa. She then graduated from nursing school in Iowa, and spent many years working as a registered nurse in labor and delivery.

Lois married Darrell Turner on April 8, 1982. Darrell passed in 2002. Lois and Kenneth Sanders were married November 25, 2006.

Lois had a generous spirit and loved doing projects for others. She enjoyed sewing, making wedding cakes, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Lois' faith was very important to her and she served the Lord since the age of thirteen.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Darrell; and sister-in-law, Sharon Eames.

Lois is survived by her husband, Kenneth; daughter, Elaine (Landon) Kleeb, Centennial, Colorado; son, Darin (Lindsey) Turner, Tyler, Texas; grandchildren, Estelle and Sullivan Kleeb, Elle and Brooklyn; brother, Robert Eames; Ken's children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 16, 2022, in The Venue at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas. A funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2022, in the chapel at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, Iola, Kansas. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery, Iola, Kansas.

Memorials are suggested to Phoenix Hospice, and may be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service.
