Lorene Ingroum, 84, of Iola, Kansas, died Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at her home. Lorene was born April 1, 1927, in Swan, Missouri, the daughter of Frank and Elsie G. (Clements) Luttrell. The family moved to Leon, Kansas and then to Iola. On April 19, 1950, Lorene married Riley Munroe Ingroum in Nevada, Missouri, and they made their home in Iola. During the 1970's they made their home in the southern part of the United States before returning to Iola. Lorene worked for P.N. Hirsch, the Allen County Hospital, and then the Iola Pharmacy before retiring. Munroe preceded her in death on June 8, 2009. Lorene enjoyed genealogy, sewing, crocheting, and bowling and was a former member of Laureate Beta Sigma Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi. SURVIVORS: 1 Son: Alan Ingroum & companion, Peggy Hornbuckle of Iola, KS 2 Daughters: Cindy Harvell of Marathon, FL, and Karla Ingroum of Iola, KS 4 Grandchildren: Michael, Chris, Angie & Terrell 1 Step-Granddaughter: Jen 2 Great Grandchildren: Damon & Jasmine A number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 5 brothers, Howard, Charles, Alfred, Herbert and John and 3 sisters, Marian, Frances and Mildred. FUNERAL SERVICE: 4:30 p.m., Saturday, February 11, 2012, at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. Inurnment will be in Highland Cemetery in Iola, at a later date.
