Luella Mae Fuhrman

Luella Mae Fuhrman, age 77, of Moran, Kansas, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2017 at the KU Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas. Luella was the third of four children born to Aloysius and Marie (Yohon) Diebolt. She was born on September 4, 1939 in Iola, Kansas. Luella grew up in Piqua, attending St. John's and St. Martin Catholic School before going to Iola High School, graduating in 1957. She then attended the Iola Junior College earning an Associate's Degree. On September 5, 1959, she married Louis Wayne Bradford in Piqua, Kansas. They had five children together. They made their home at rural Moran. Wayne later died on September 5, 1976. On August 11, 1978 she married Leroy Fuhrman in Iola. Luella loved to garden, and cook for her family. Her grandchildren were a special source of joy to her. She enjoyed sharing the holidays and birthdays with her family. Luella was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, Wayne. She is survived by her husband, Leroy Fuhrman of Moran; her children, Susan Lewis and Doug of Moran, Sherry Henry of Moran, Roger Bradford of Bronson, Kansas, Sandra Ellefsen of Marshall, Missouri and Debbie Jones and Jeffrey of Paola, Kansas; nine grandchildren, Tyler and Tanner Lewis, Morgan Henry, Ashton Troxel and Gabriel Ellefsen, Vincent, Maximus, Grady and Ella Jones; two brothers, Marion Diebolt of Moran, Vernon Diebolt of Piqua; and sister, Marcella Wagner of Independence, Missouri. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, March 31, 2017, at St. John's Catholic Church, Iola, following a Parish Rosary at 9:30 AM. The family will greet friends from 6:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, March 30, 2017, at St. John's Parish Hall, Iola. Memorial contributions may be made to Wings for Warriors.
