Lyle D. Fosdick

Lyle Dean Fosdick, age 70, of Iola, Kansas, passed away December 20, 2022, at the Allen County Regional Hospital, Iola, Kansas. Lyle was born January 10, 1952, in Garnett, Kansas, to John "Bus" Fosdick and June (Tullis) Fosdick.

Lyle graduated in 1970 from Blue Mound High School, Blue Mound, Kansas. He and Crystal McCormick were married August 1, 1983, in Miami, Oklahoma.

Lyle was a tool grinder for 38 years for Haldex Manufacturing, Iola, Kansas. He retired in 2015.

Lyle liked coin collecting, hunting, farming, fishing, camping, and anything outdoors. He really enjoyed working and fixing things in his barn. He was known to his family for large bon fires that included lots of family, and he knew how to have a good time.

Lyle was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Connie Prock, Thelma Mittelmeier, Betty Larney.

Lyle is survived by his wife, Crystal, of the home; son, James (Erica) Hunt, Iola, Kansas; daughter, Jessica (Shane) Womack, Iola, Kansas; sister, Cindy (Don) Dauben, Lamar, Missouri; grandsons, James Hunt, Ethan Hunt, Lucas Womack, Charlie Womack; and numerous other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, in The Venue at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas. A funeral service to honor Lyle's life will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, in the chapel at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service. Interment will follow in Sunny Slope Cemetery, Blue Mound, Kansas.

Memorials are suggested to the Allen County Animal Rescue Facility (ACARF), which may be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service.
