Madgeleen Armstrong

Madgeleen Armstrong, age 68, of Garnett, Kansas, formerly of Ulysses, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2008, at the Anderson County Long Term Care Facility, Garnett, KS. She was born on October 29, 1939 at Salem, Arkansas, the daughter of Noble Ray and Cleta Madge (Henry) Bowling. She married Vernon Armstrong on October 13, 1960 at Clayton, New Mexico. This union was blessed with three daughters and one son. She was married for forty-seven years to Vernon celebrating their anniversary in October, and he preceded her in death on December 31, 2007. Madge worked at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital at Ulysses, Kansas for over thirty years as a Registered Nurse, before retiring in 2001, moving to Garnett to be with her family. Madge is survived by her daughters, Di Magner and husband Mark of Garnett, Kansas; D.D. Keeler and her husband Scott of Garnett, Kansas; Darel Maxwell of Ulysses, Kansas; one son, Devon Armstrong and nine grandchildren.
