Margo Elizabeth McNett-Kessler, age 59, of Colony, Kansas, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2018, at her home. Margo was born on December 11, 1958, at Iola. Kansas. She was the second of six children born to John Clayton "J.C." and Roberta Ann (Nichols) McNett. She attended school in Iola and Yates Center. Margo married Gary Dean Dearinger in 1975, they later divorced. Their union was blessed with two daughters, Carol and Deana. Margo was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed playing cards, going fishing and riding four wheelers. Margo loved her pets, but her grandchildren were her pride and joy, especially attending their activities and going swimming with them. Her family will miss her for her Christmas time sugar cookies. She will also be remembered for her willingness to help, always putting others before herself. Margo was very unassuming and never took herself too seriously. Family gatherings will not be the same without her laughter and hugs. Margo was preceded in death by her mother, Roberta on June 25, 1980. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, DeWayne Kessler of their home; two daughters, Carol Dearinger and Scott Kress of Yates Center, Kansas, and Deana Bittinger and husband, Paul of Burlington, Kansas; two grandchildren, Loryn Kress and Cody Beal; her father, J.C. McNett and Carolyn McGown of Yates Center, Kansas; four sisters and one brother, Theresa McNett and Jim Weseloh of Farlington, Kansas, Mary Glor and Tom of Somerset, Colorado, Mardell Chambers of Yates Center, Kansas, John David "J.D." McNett and Tammie Fee of Rose, Kansas, and Kim McNett of Yates Center, Kansas; one step-brother, Jack Spencer and Shirley LeComte of Iola, Kansas. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, February 12, 2018, at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Hwy. 54, Iola, Kansas. Burial will follow at Geneva Cemetery in Colony, Kansas. The family will greet friends from 2:00 – 4:00 PM, Sunday, February 11, 2018, at the funeral home. Friends For Life supported Margo throughout her battle and victory over lung cancer, memorials in her honor are suggested to Friends For Life (a cancer support group) and may be left with the funeral home.
