Margret Heloise Newton

Margret Heloise Newton, age 90, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 17, 2009. She was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Beulah Heloise Hedges Baker and Thomas Everett Baker of Oklahoma City on July 24, 1918. Margret was married to Donald B. Newton of St. Paul, Minnesota on December 20, 1941, in Mason City, Iowa. They made their home in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area and Southern California, where he was employed by North Western Aeronautical and Lockheed. In 1951 they moved to Atascadero, California, where they operated Newton's Nut Bowl and Nut Bowl Candies, through the late 1950's. They moved to Paso Robles, California in 1985. Margret Heloise was a dedicated homemaker and mother, and a member of the Paso Robles Christian Church and the Atascadero Christian Church. She is survived by her husband of sixty seven years, Donald Newton; two sons, Don Newton and his wife Susan of San Miguel, California; Tom Newton and his wife Karen of Eureka, California; four grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Private services will be held at the Garnett Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that a donation may be made to the Trinity Lutheran School, 940 Creston Road, Paso Robles, CA 93446.
