Marie Miriam Mercuro

Marie Miriam Mercuro, 75, of Iola, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at the Allen County Regional Hospital. Marie was born July 30, 1940, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, the daughter of Raymond and Marie (Dering) Smith. She grew up in New Jersey and worked at Community Medical Center in Toms River, New Jersey before moving to Iola in 2004. Survivors include her daughter, Antoinette Mercuro of Atlantic City, NJ; grandson Scott Peer of Topeka, KS and great grandson Aiden Scott Peer. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Michael Lee Peer. There will be no public service. Feuerborn Family Funeral Service of Iola, assisted the family.
