Marilyn Allene "Lynne" Byers, age 85, of Iola, formerly of Wichita, Kansas, passed away April 6, 2018, at Azria Health Center, Olathe, Kansas.   Marilyn was born July 22, 1932, in El Dorado, Kansas, to Wesley Virgil Hayes and Bertha Leota McHattan Hayes. She was the granddaughter of James Virgil Hayes and Jessie Lulu Brickley Hayes and Lee Otto McHattan and Julia Pearl Stroup McHattan. Marilyn grew up in the Iola are and attended Iola High School. She and Bert Thomas Byers were married on July 22, 1949, and they made their home in Iola. Marilyn and Bert had three sons. They later divorced. Marilyn married John Baker Logan, Sr. in June of 1962. Marilyn and John had one son. John died in 1998. Marilyn continued to live in the Wichita area until she retired in 2002 and moved to Iola. Marilyn worked for a dry cleaners, drove a cab, and helped manage a lounge in Wichita, Kansas. She was best known for her humor, and she enjoyed playing dominos and Scrabble. Marilyn is survived by three sons, Michael Thomas Byers and wife, Mary Lou, Iola, Kansas; Richard Eugene Byers and wife, Debby, Belton, Missouri; and Noel Ian Logan, Oklahoma; several grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Kirby Lynn Byers; two granddaughters, Lisa Michelle Byers and Hannah Marie Hoots. Cremation has taken place.  Private inurnment to follow at a later date in Highland Cemetery, Iola, Kansas. Memorials are to the Nazarene Church, Iola, Kansas, or to the Alzheimer's Foundation and may be left at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, Iola, Kansas.
