Marjorie Lucille Hulett, age 80, of Garnett, Kansas, passed away on Monday, November 16, 2015, at her son, Ron's home in Columbia, Missouri. She was born on December 2, 1934, at Garnett, Kansas, the daughter of Orville Swope and Daisy (Peek) Teter. She grew up in Garnett, attending school there. Following school she worked the soda counter at a local drug store. On August 5, 1952, she was united in marriage to Raymond Floyd Hulett at Baldwin, Kansas. This union was blessed with four sons. While her boys were young, Marjorie worked at the local sewing factory. She later worked at the Dairy Queen for several years. In her retirement she worked for a few years at Bill's Quick Shop, Garnett. Marjorie enjoyed cooking, especially for her family. She also liked to sew and quilt. She took a great deal of pride in as well as enjoyment from tending her house plants, her garden and her yard. Marjorie's greatest joy was her "babies" (a.k.a. grandchildren). She was preceded in death by her father; her mother and step-father, Daisy and Art Teter; her husband, Raymond Hulett on July 23, 1989; son, Michael Alan Hulett on September 27, 1998; one great grandchild; and three sisters, Dorotha Ashburn, Pearl Geer, and Eva Morrow. Marjorie is survived by her sons, Ronnie Hulett and wife Kathy of Columbia, Missouri; Robert Hulett and wife Tina of Emporia, Kansas; David Hulett and wife Kim of Peculiar, Missouri; sister, Lucille Wilson Morrow and husband Max of Ottumwa, Iowa; nine grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, November 20, 2015, at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel, Garnett, Kansas. Burial will follow in the Garnett Cemetery. Marjorie's family will greet friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Friday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
