Marjory Louise Turner Cantrell, 89, of Iola, Kansas, died Monday, March 31, 2014 at her home. Marjory was born March 12, 1925, in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of of Glen and Faye (Jones) Feld. She grew up in the Iola and Neosho Falls area. On October 8, 1941, she married Orval L. Turner in Kansas City and they made their home in the LaHarpe and Iola area. He preceded her in death October 12, 1973. She worked several years for I.M.P. Boats and then at Gates. On April 25, 1979, she married David Cantrell and in 1983 they made their home in Harrison, Arkansas. He died February 3, 1995. Marjory returned to Iola and worked at the Iola Senior Citizens Center for almost ten years. SURVIVORS: 1 Daughter: Beverly Boan of Iola, KS 2 Brothers: Charles Feld of Big Springs, TX and Lee Rafferty of California 2 Sisters: Virginia Hall of Big Springs, TX and Joan Audley of Iola, KS 2 Grandsons: Roger Hoddy of Iola and Marty Turner of Olathe. 2 Great Grandchildren: Mark & Madelyn Turner of Olathe A number of nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her son Jack Turner, 2 granddaughters Dena and Cindy Turner, 2 sisters Donna Hankins and Maxine Syversons and brother Gene Feld. FUNERAL SERVICE: 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 4, 2014, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola, where the family will greet friends prior to the service. BURIAL: Highland Cemetery, Iola, KS MEMORIAL: Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice Memorial gifts may be left with the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel of Iola, which is in charge of arrangements.
