Marsha Karr

Marsha Karr, age 63, passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at her home in LaHarpe, Kansas.

Marsha was born May 31, 1957 to Leslie James and Norma Jean (Wilson) Chapman Sr. in Chanute, Kansas. She attended school in Iola, Kansas and graduated with the class of 1975. She married Harold Karr on August 21, 1976 in Iola. Their union was blessed with two children. Marsha worked as a seamstress for H.L. Miller & Son and then in 1998 began working for Russell Stover Chocolates until retiring in 2019.

Marsha was a member of the Iola Elks Lodge #569 and the LaHarpe Ladies Auxiliary. She loved to sing karaoke and spend time with her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids.

Marsha is preceded in death by her father, Leslie Chapman Sr.; son, Michael Karr; and siblings, Sandra and Jim Chapman.

Marsha is survived by her husband of the home, Harold Karr; daughter, Nicky Perez and husband, Robert Burress, of Moran, Kansas; mother, Norma Black of Iola, Kansas; grandchildren, Alexis Smith of LaHarpe, Kansas, Alaina Smith of Kincaid, Kansas, Mathew Karr, Joseph Karr, Noah Karr, and Eli Karr, all of Topeka, Kansas, and Kasen Karr of Iola, Kansas; great-grandchildren, Kendall and Oaklynn Wilkerson of Kincaid, Kansas and Wesley Wilson of LaHarpe, Kansas; and numerous other family members and friends.

Services to honor the life of Marsha will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, May 14, 2021 at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service of Iola, Kansas. Burial will take place following the funeral at LaHarpe Cemetery in LaHarpe, Kansas. Family will greet friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 13, 2021 in The Venue at the funeral home.
