Martha Beachy

Martha Beachy, age 69, of Garnett, Kansas, passed away on November 25, 2024, at Richmond Healthcare and Rehab Facility, Richmond,Kansas.

Martha was born on January 14, 1955 to Alvin and Dora (Helmuth) Beachy, in Garnett, Kansas, the second oldest of seven children. Martha and her family grew up in an Amish community. She attended school at Mont Ida and later went on to receive her GED and acquired her certification as a Certified Medication Aide (CMA). Martha worked in numerous nursing facilities, giving her time to many patients. She was employed at PJ's restaurant and did some housekeeping as well.

Martha was known for the jingle in her pockets and always had any change that someone may need. She enjoyed making her famous carrot salad, that was loved by many. In her spare time, Martha enjoyed playing Pitch and Bingo. She could often be found at the Senior Center visiting with friends. Martha's dedication to sending Valentine's, Easter, Christmas and any other holiday that can be thought of, as well as birthday and anniversary cards, with the additional bookmarks, at least an entire month early, will be truly missed.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Arlene Ewing; brother, Ralph Beachy; brother-in-law, Vincent Hamilton Sr., great- niece, Abigail Sinclair.

She is survived by her siblings, Elmer Beachy, and Viola Beachy, of Garnett, Kansas, Charlotte Miller and husband Steve of Melvern, Kansas, LeAnna DeVoe and husband John of LaHarpe, Kansas; one brother-in-law, Dennis Ewing of Ottawa, Kansas; and multiple nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Services will take place on Friday, December 6th, 2024, at 10:30 A.M., at Garnett Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow at the Amish Cemetery, Garnett, Kansas. Martha's family will greet friends on Thursday evening, December 5th, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel, Garnett, Kansas.
