Martha Garber

Martha Maxine Garber, 72, of Iola, Kansas, died Tuesday, January 26, 2010, at Windsor Place Nursing Center in Iola. Martha was born May 12, 1937, at Arcadia, Kansas the daughter of William B. and Mary Carolina (Crites) Ross. She grew up in Arcadia and attended school there. Martha was married to Fred Marsh and they had a son before they were divorced. She made her home in a number of communities including Fort Scott, Kansas. She moved to Iola from Ft. Scott. On August 25, 1980, Martha married Clarence L. Garber and they have made their home in Iola. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed working crossword puzzles. SURVIVORS: Husband: Clarence Garber of Iola, KS 1 Son: Frederick "Rick" Marsh of Iola, KS 1 Sister: Esther Robertson of Kansas City, MO 3 Grandchildren She was preceded in death by 5 brothers, Melvin, William, Roy, Francis and Robert Ross, and by a sister, Ruth.
