Martha Sanders

Martha Grace (Mott) Sanders, 70, of Parsons, Kansas, died Saturday, September 8, 2012, at Labette Health Care in Parsons. Martha was born January 30, 1942, at Kincaid, Kansas, the daughter of Arthur "Bill" and Eunice M. (Corwin) Mott, Jr. The family moved to Iola. She later lived in Tennessee, Minnesota and Kansas City, Missouri before moving to Parsons a year ago. Martha was married to Clarence Sanders and they divorced. At the time of her retirement, she worked in housekeeping at the North Kansas City Hospital. Martha enjoyed camping, boating and playing bingo. SURVIVORS: 1 Daughter: Arlene Dayberry of Altamont, KS 1 Sister: Leona Tarwater and husband, Dean of Kansas City, MO 1 Sister-In-Law: Rena Traw and husband, Dennis of Emporia, KS 4 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandsons She was preceded in death by three daughters, Lahoma Sanders, Josephine Bedell and Connie Cline, one brother, John A. Mott, and two sisters, Laura Cole and Billie Lee Holden. GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 11:00 a.m., Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, at Highland Cemetery in Iola. Rev. Steve Traw will officiate.
