Marvin Dozier

Marvin L. Dozier, 73, of Iola, Kansas, died Monday, December 20, 2010, at his home. Marvin was born June 7, 1937, in Garnett, Kansas, the son of Clarence Victor and Lila Fern (Diedel) Dozier. He graduated from Elsmore High School and served in the United States Army for three years. On July 2, 1961, Marvin married Marilyn Raney and they made their home in various communities before moving to Iola in 1984. He owned and operated M & M Used Furniture and Appliance on the east side of the square until retiring. Marvin especially enjoyed making and displaying Christmas decorations. SURVIVORS: His wife: Marilyn Dozier of the home 3 Sons: Joe Dozier & wife, Shelly of Lawrence, KS, Mark Dozier & wife, Patty of Iola, KS and Kirk Dozier & wife, Cheryl of Pomona, KS 1 Brother: Mike Dozier of Nevada, MO 1 Sister: Irene Cox of Wichita, KS 1 Step-Brother: Bill Roach of Abilene, TX 12 Grandchildren & 2 Great Grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Vic Dozier Cremation has taken place.
