Mary Alice Tidd Braton was born on July 22, 1959 to Opal and Richard Tidd. She passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at home in Neosho Falls on September 2, 2021.
Above all else, Mary was a pure and beautiful soul who put everyone else before herself. She would give you the shirt off her back. She was a devoted mother who fiercely loved her two sons, Cliff and Clint. The pride and joy she felt for them radiated from her whenever she talked about them. Her grandchild, Eleanor, was the light of her life. For both birthdays and Christmases, you could count on Mary to spoil her "grandbaby." She was also well loved by her nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She delighted in being Aunt Mary.
Mary had the strongest work ethic of any human. For the last several years of her life, she worked at Casey's, where she put in many long hours. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with family and her dogs, gardening, and watching the Chiefs.
Everyone who knew her is devastated by her loss. Her goofy sense of humor and giving spirit will remain with those she met. Her family will mourn her every day. The world is a worse place without her. But her huge heart is her legacy, and we will never forget her.
Mary is preceded in death by her father and her sister, Betty. She is survived by her two sons, Cliff and Clint; her ex-husband Chad, whom she married in 1987; her daughter-in-law, Michelle; her granddaughter, Eleanor; her mother, Opal; her two brothers, Gary and Richard (DeWayne); and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, September 10, 2021, at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service at 1883 U.S. Highway 54, Iola. Burial will follow in the Cedarvale Cemetery, Neosho Falls. The family will greet friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. before the service on Friday.
