Mary A. Cleaver, 64, of Iola, Kansas, died Monday, May 4, 2015, at her home. Mary was born Oct. 8, 1950, in Humboldt, Kansas, the daughter of Walter Marion and Lucille Inez (Heimberg) Pollet. The family moved to Iola where she married John C. Cleaver on Oct. 18, 1968. They lived in Iola, Arma, and Moran before moving to Wichita where they lived for 35 years. In Wichita, she worked for U.S.D. #259 as an assistant secretary for over twenty years. They returned to Iola a year ago to make their home. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. Cleaver, Jr. of Wichita 1 Daughter: Michelle Heller & husband, Russ of Wichita 2 Brothers: Terry Pollet & wife, Betty of Tulsa, OK, and Rex Pollet & wife, Katrina of Delphos, KS 3 Sisters: Vicky Arnold, Patricia Ratcliff, and Cindy McKenney & husband, Mark all of Ft. Scott 9 Grandchildren & 2 Great Grandchildren FUNERAL SERVICE: 4:00 p.m., Thursday, May 7, 2015, at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. Visitation will follow the service.
